This was the year... Josiah asked to play an organized sport. I knew the day would come, and I was definitely not in a hurry.
However, It is super cute to see him so excited and energetic. I was super proud of my little man.
He made 3 goals in his first game... no goalies in this league ;)
He tried hard, "hustled"( I never liked hearing that word in softball), and he was fairly aggressive (another word I didn't like).
taking time to wave to mom
I don't know what this is about because I know zero about soccer.
It was freezing the first game.
I am obviously a rookie mom.
I don't own a fold out chair, ear muffs, or know how to layer blankets so that the chair becomes some sort of wind blocking, heat generating igloo.
Nope, instead I'm standing, more like hopping in place hoping to generate heat, with an extra coat wrapped around my head to keep the wind out of my ears.
Oh well, someday I'll be comfortably hunkered down in my own igloo and look across the field at the coat wrapped kangaroo and think... Rookie.

It has been so much fun watching Jo play. Love his face when he kicks a goal:) It's been a long time since I've stood beside a field in rain, snow, cold....but glad to be doing it again to watch our Jo.
Finally got to see Jojo play and he is so good !!! Yes it was cold but then again I remember watching you play softball while it was snowing !!! He is sure loves making those goals. Can't wait to see him play again. Oh by the way you are officially a "Soccer Mom"
