Beauty is in the eye...

Lillian, as I've mentioned before, is not the mostly "girly" girl.  However, being the budding artist and my daughter, she loves makeup. So one day her and I had girl day together and we went to Claire's.  We put her a little makeup bag together and she couldn't wait to open it.

The best part of it was watching the little old ladies watching her!

Let's get rolling

I finally finished my procrastination of getting a new battery for the gator.
The kids were so excited to get back to driving.

This is actually is Lillian's first time being somewhat of a responsible driver.
She is such a space cadet she never looks to see where she is driving.

Yep, I found her plowed into the car.
Her and Cora loved flooring it so the tires would just spin out of control.

ready to swim

One morning Cora came out wearing almost all of my swimsuits.
She just melts my heart.

Lillian was very proud of herself for "dressing" Cora.

Judy and Roger invited us over one evening so that my kids could be her audience for her harp performance.   She played a really cute musical of the story of Noah complete with Roger singing.

They are such blessings in our lives.  Roger and Judy are Eric's parents, Grant's friend.
oh, and they cook awesome food.  Even their chicken fingers were so tasty!

Zoo trip

Josiah had his first zoo field trip.  It was pretty cute.  Except he got a little whiny.   I don't know how teachers do it.  Trying to keep track of 20 little ones. yikes!

Holding Maddie's hand.  She's was the only girl in his class for a long time.

 His buddy, Seth.
Ms. Julia, one of the teachers.

I can say I've officially been on a field trip.
His first one he didn't want me to go and the second one I had to leave early.

A single text

This is the only text Grant sent one day when I was at a garage sale....
The picture says it all, almost, except for two things: Who's hair is it? and How bad is the damage?

Well I figured it could've gone two ways.  Lillian was being "creative" on herself or Lillian wanted to try scissors out on her brother's new long do (which he loves).

Verdict: Yes, it was Lillian and it was on her own hair.

Luckily I had put a style in using 6 different ponytail holders in... 2 days ago.

She snipped right in front of (luckily) the rubber band on the left side (look to the right side of picture).
It gave her some layers on the side with a side swept bang (there are some random short pieces in her bangs also).
as I've told everyone BEST CASE SCENARIO!

I think we will be back to Lillian's signature crazy hair for a while until we can get some of the shorter stuff long enough to pull back.

Lillian, oh, Lillian.

I don't remember what this was about.

30

It's official, my mama's baby is 30!
We had a great time celebrating.  Low Key, just the way I like it.

We started out the day at 6:15am in a hotel room trying to keep the kids quiet until 8:00 when breakfast was ready.  The one thing I wanted on my birthday was to sleep in. can't always get what you want. Then we went to the waterpark (good time), drove home with the van on verge of breaking down, and then out to dinner.  Just the way I had planned the day.

Getting older, so far, has not bothered me one bit.  I can honestly say life just keeps getting better and I'm looking forward to the next 10 years!  The 20's were so busy with: marriage, new jobs, deployment, babies, and new house. I'm just ready to sit back and enjoy the ride.

The Best thing I can now say is that I've been with Grant for half of my life!
I love that guy!
 Jess and Amanda
We enjoyed a great dinner at Mesh on Mass.

 Dustin and Ryan
Ryan's 30th was on the 6th.

5 Years old... tear

Oh my where does time go?  Josiah is five...
He's turned out to be such an awesome kid (ask me 5 or 3 years ago, I wouldn't have been so sure).
We had a great day/week celebrating the little man.

At G Star's house to celebrate the May birthdays.

Grant told me a needed to bake a cake, but instead I created a "fancy" donut plate since I was working in the evening.
We surprised him with a nintendo 3ds.  He had been saving his money to buy one.
It was great except he is a horrible gift receiver.  A few days later he told me he didn't want the ds and wanted a dirt bike.
He had a nice tasty lunch at Frosty boy.
(note: cora sleeping in van)

We also celebrated down at the French lick water park, but I couldn't find my camera at the time :(
of course I found it at the bottom of the pool bag when I got home.

Happy Birthday Day Josiah Ryan!
