swimming

I love taking pictures of the kids in the pool.
You can just see pure happiness on their faces.

Lillian has learned how to swim this summer.  She picked it up quickly and is very strong at it.  About the 3rd time on her own she says, "Look mom."  She had her head above the water and was just treading water without using her arms.  She may run a little funny with her legs, but in the water they move amazing!

It's not possible to throw Lillian too high.

No, he did not crack his face open.

They love jumping at the same time.  Although now they've created the "hug" jump.  They literally hug while jumping in together.

PBS in the Park

Hot day. Lots of Kids. Big Costumed Characters.

The kids had fun.

I don't remember if this was on the same day, but lets just say it doesn't happen often that they both fall asleep like this often at the same time.

She must have woken up with a stiff neck after this.

Elias and Adeline

Trisha was up a few weeks ago with the kids.  We were able to let the kids play for a couple of hours with some foam swords and their imaginations.

Jo and Elias are 6 weeks apart.
Lil and Adeline are 7 months apart.

I love it that they are friends and that I don't mind having a play date with their mom myself ;)

Father's Day

Father's Day.  Grant is such an amazing daddy.  I always joked before we had kids, that if he treated our kids half as good as he treated our "temperamental" dog then they will be in good shape.

Reasons Grant is an awesome Daddy:

1. The best rocker EVER.  No child can resist the perfect amount of soothing, rhythmical, solid rocking chair rock. They melt in his arms.
2. He loves to love on his babies.
3. He always knows what the kids need at the moment.
4. He is fun and makes up funny slang for the kids to use.
5. The kids think they are totally awesome when they hang out with the bomb dizzle daddy in his barn.

oh yeah, and he still loves on the less temperamental dog.

Somehow we always end up swimming on Father's day. Grant has never made a request.  It just seems to happen.

Happy Father's Day Eb!

I have to give a shout out to my Daddy.

Reasons why I love my dad:
1. He is one of a kind
2. He likes his own "fashion"
3. He doesn't give a hoot what others think.
4. He has worked so hard to provide for us and my mom.

Happy Father's Day!

Twins birthday

These are just a few of Luke and Nina's actual birthday.  They came over to swim a little last minute.  They had an awesome birthday party just a couple of weeks later.
I can't believe they are 1!  Time goes by so quickly.  It's awesome from day one how different they've looked and acted.

Random pictures stuck in this post.  Cora dressing up and just being cute.

1st Haircut

I held off as long as I could, but the baby needed a haircut.
I was able to let the other kids make it to their 2nd birthdays, but she just wasn't as bald as them.  Many would argue that I should've cut Jo's hair before then.

Something about giving a kid, even if it's not mine,  their 1st haircut takes away their "baby."

She was wiggly, but not crying.

Big girl Cora!

Outtakes of May

May is always a great month.
Birthdays, mother's day, spring flowers, and the beginning of good weather.

Chillin with her babies by the pool while I did yard work.
 Lillian's make up artistry.
Later she told me she wanted to tattoo their faces.
I'm telling you, it's in her future.
Kids rockin Pop Rocks for the first time.

 Birthday boy at FB
Grammy came up for almost a week and we had lots of fun with her.  She took us bowling one night and made delicious cupcakes one afternoon with Lillian.
Cora wasn't messing around.
